Gingerbread Light-Up House

Materials

  • BIC Mark-It Permanent Markers
  • BIC® Mechanical Pencil
  • Light brown Styrofoam board
  • 20-30 ct Christmas white lights
  • Hot glue gun/glue sticks
  • Craft knife
  • White glue
  • White glitter
  • White glitter glue
  • Red and white translucent paper
  • Craft scissors Ruler
  • Gingerbread cookie cutter Tape
  • White paint pen
  • Paint brushes

Instructions

  • Using a BIC® Mechanical Pencil sketch out a gingerbread house with lots of windows, and trace two gingerbread men using the cookie cutter.
  • Carefully, cut out the shapes using a craft knife. Also cut out a base for the house to sit on, plus supports for the house and the two gingerbread men.
  • Decorate the gingerbread house and two gingerbread men with the BIC Mark-It Permanent Markers, white paint pen and glitter glue.
  • Carefully, cut the red and white translucent paper to fit behind each of the windows. Tape to secure.
  • Once the glitter glue has dried, assemble the house.
  • Carefully, hot glue the house to the base and add supports to the back if needed. Also hot glue the two gingerbread men in place.
  • Tape the lights to the back of the house making sure the lights shine in front of each window.
  • Paint the white glue all over the base of the house and sprinkle the white glitter to create snow. Let dry.
  • Plug in the lights and use as a holiday decoration in a window or under a Christmas tree!
